ABOUT THE COMPANY -
I created SustainablyManaged with my best friend to spread the word about the greener way of life. We create content and foster community on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest focused on the ways that we as individuals can make an impact in the world around us.
It is SM’s core mission to educate about climate change and the natural world, inspire sustainable living and community action, and spread the belief that small individual efforts can make huge impacts in protecting and preserving the environment for many generations to come.
ABOUT THE PROJECT -
SustainablyManaged is a labor of love, and began as a passion project to flex my creative muscles and make a small difference in the world. Over the course of two years, it has turned into a thriving community and an incredible opportunity to connect my design, research, and storytelling skills with the environmental movement.
I design every static image we post, and created our logo and visual branding. We’ve collaborated with other environmentally-focused creators and organizations, and make a big effort to highlight the community around us.

CREATING THE VISUAL
BRAND -
I designed SustainablyManaged’s visual aesthetic from scratch, inspired by the 1970’s, summer camps, and scout patches.
From the logo to every static post on our feed, I crafted our visuals to be shareable, fun, and eye-catching in a way that felt young and trendy, but still trustworthy and informative. Choosing main fonts with a 70’s, simple, and handwritten feel and using cute, cartoon-like elements are an important part of the SustainablyManaged visual identity.
In early 2025, I updated the visual brand and created a new logo for SM. I illustrated sticker elements and highlight badges, updated our 70’s inspired color palette, and fleshed out our distinct visual identity.

STRATEGY -
We created SustainablyManaged to educate and inspire others to live green, learn about the environment, and get involved in the world around them.
Our biggest goal has been to become a resource for accurate, helpful, and informative content about climate change and the natural world. We actively work to reach a wide audience with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and lifestyles to inspire as many people as we can about the power of knowledge and individual action.
We focus on holidays, current events, and trends to make appealing content that will spread the word.
I’ve helped work towards our goals by:
Designing the logo, color palette, and standard graphic style to create a strong and visually appealing brand identity
Using my research and copywriting skills to create informative, accurate static posts, and using my design skills to build them
Focusing on creating simple, digestible, and shareable content
Collaborating with other companies and influencers in the environmental advocacy space
Fostering a friendly and passionate community through comments, DMs, and interactive stories across multiple platforms
