ABOUT THE PROJECT -
The Climate Ambassadors Network (CAN) is part of the Hollywood Climate Summit, and was established to continue the conversation of that annual event year-round through networking events and workshops focused on sustainable practices in the workplace and throughout the entertainment industry.
The leadership of CAN wanted to expand the reach of their workshops and events throughout the entertainment industry and beyond, but needed a clearer visual brand, professional presentation deck, and marketing materials to present to clients, workshop attendees, and the public.
CREATING THE VISUAL
BRAND -
I designed a new brand identity for CAN, and actually began with two separate ideas- one based on the Earth and landscapes, and the other based on comic books and superheroes. They didn’t have a clear idea for what direction they wanted the brand to go, so I presented them with multiple options based on market research and audience analysis.
Their audience was generally young, sustainably-minded, and community-focused. Pinpointing the branding on Earth and landscape imagery was a clear first step, but we ultimately decided on the superhero/comic book theme to differentiate them from other organizations in the impact and environmental space and create a wider brand identity around Climate Ambassadors being “superheroes for the Earth”.
I redesigned their 60-slide workshop presentation deck and created social media posts and templates in this new style.
